El Cerrito Middle School was filled with discussions about Women’s Rights, World War II, The Civil Rights Movement and many other significant events in history as students from across the district presented their projects in this year’s CNUSD History Day competition on Feb. 1, 2014. This year’s theme was Rights and Responsibilities in History. There were a total of 9 categories in the competition, which ranged from exhibits-to-documentaries and performances. Fifteen students who placed in 1st and 2nd will advance to the Riverside County History Day Competition being held March 15, 2014. Congratulations to all of this year’s participants and best of luck to the students who will be representing CNUSD at the County level.
