The Corona-Norco Unified School District Board of Education approved the hiring of executive search firm Leadership Associates to spearhead the process of selecting a new superintendent for the district to replace Dr. Kent Bechler, who announced he will be retiring this August.
Leadership Associates has collaborated with over 200 school districts across the state of California to help find top superintendent candidates since 1996, including leading a successful search for CNUSD in 2007. The Leadership Associates team is comprised of former superintendents of school districts, from large to small, who are dedicated to public education.
Leadership Associates will first conduct input sessions with community members, parents and staff to determine some of the desired qualities and experience the public and school community are looking for with the new superintendent. They will then present a summary to the Board, and the Board would determine whether to proceed with a full search or modify the process.
