2-3-17 – Norco – Meet Ms. Molinar! She is a Dual Language Immersion Kindergarten teacher at Washington Elementary!

Ms. Molinar has been teaching for 32 years. She earned her degrees from University of Southern California (USC) and from California State University, Los Angeles.

She says her favorite part about teaching is watching kids get excited about learning and having fun while she teaches!

Her teaching philosophy includes having high expectations for all students and having fun while teaching.

IMG_0592At the age of nine, she knew she wanted to become a teacher.

“My grandfather told me I would be a good teacher,” says Ms. Molinar, “I have always enjoyed being around kids and teaching.”

What is Ms. Molinar’s favorite inspirational quote?

It’s a quote her mother always told her. No hay mal que por bien no venga (there’s no bad that does not bring good).

Goals for 2017 include buying a house and helping all her student read at a running record 4.

“Teachers who love teaching teach kids to love learning,” she says.

Here are a few words of encouragement from Ms. Molinar:

“Love what you do and you will always be happy.”

  • Now college students, both of my children were blessed to have Ms Rafaela Molinar as their Kindergarten teacher. High expectations-yes!! High level of support for students and parents-absolutely! Her ability to foster the love of learning in children is truly inspiring. We love you Ms Molinar!

  • My daughter had Ms. Molinar for dual kindergarten. For a English only child to be in a dual class and have them follow along it was truly something amazing to witness. We loved Ms. Molinar she was wonderful to all of her students. On my daughter’s last day of kindergarten I was crying saying goodbye to her. She’s one of a kind.
